Arbeids- og kompetanseområde
I graduated as mechanical civil engineer at Santa Maria University in Chile and I receive my PhD in Energy Physics from Oslo University in Norway. My research activities have been mainly related to mathematical modeling of heat transfer and renewable energy systems.
The most recent projects specifically are related to offshore wind in the North Sea Region (DecomTools) and solar energy systems in Norway.
My teaching activities are connected to subjects in mechanical engineering. I currently teach courses in renewable energy and power hydraulics. In the past I had teach courses in fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, heat transfer, material technology and mechanics of materials.
I worked some years around Bergen as a process engineer, this was a great experience to understand everyday activities for engineers in the Norwegian oil & gas industry. Also, in the past I had the pleasure to work for the mechanical engineering department at UTFSM - Chile, which was a great experience regarding excellence in teaching and research activities for mechanical engineers.
