Citizens outside the EU/EEA
For citizens outside the EU/EEA the online registration opens on the 1st of October 2023. The application deadline is December 1st 2023 for our 2024 programs.
Citizens from the EU/EEA
For citizens from the EU/EEA the online application registration opens February 1st 2024. The application deadline for EU/EEA citizens is March 1st 2024.
Citizens from The United Kingdom
Due to the changes in the entry, visa and residence permit rules, British citizens are now considered as citizens outside the EU/EEA when applying for admission to HVL. The application deadline for citizens outside the EU/EEA is December 1st 2023 for our 2024 programs.
The United Kingdom left the EU on 31 January 2020, and therefore British citizens are no longer recognized as EU or EEA citizens. Upon withdrawal, it was agreed to have a transitional period until 31 December 2020. From 1 January 2021, British citizens who want to study and travel to Norway must apply for a residence permit according to the usual regulations for citizens of countries outside the EU/EEA to be a student (or pupil) in Norway for more than 90 days.
