Getting to Stord

From the airport to campus Stord

Stord Airport (Sørstokken) is located approximately 18 minutes by car from the city centre, Leirvik. Stord Airport is the region of Sunnhordlands local airport. Take a taxi to Leirvik bus terminal or directly to campus (Rommetveit snuplass).

You can also travel by plane to Haugesund Airport (Helganes), which is located at Karmøy. Take the airport bus or a taxi to Haugesund bus terminal at Flotmyr. A taxi takes about 15 minutes and costs approximately NOK 500-600. Then take the Kystbussen to Stord (Leirvik bus terminal). At Stord a taxi or the local bus will take you to campus (Rommetveit snuplass).

You can also travel by plane to Bergen Airport (Flesland). Take the airport bus to Bergen city centre and then Kystbussen to Stord (Leirvik bus terminal). At Stord a taxi or the local bus will take you to campus (Rommetveit snuplass).

From the Leirvik bus terminal/harbour to campus Stord

The city centre of Stord is called Leirvik and is located approximately 10 minutes from the campus by car. At the city centre you will find Leirvik bus terminal and the harbour for local boats. A taxi or a local bus will take you to campus Stord (Rommetveit snuplass). 

Arriving by car

Stord is located approximately 80 km south of Bergen (E39) and approximately 60 km north of Haugesund (RV47 and E39) and 130 km north of Stavanger (E39). Campus Stord's adress is Klingenbergvegen 4.
